The plot of L'elisir d'amore is quite simple: Nemorino loves Adina, who loves Belcore, a sergeant in the Italian Army, who loves......himself mostly! Poor in money, but rich in heart, Nemorino purchases an elixir from Dr. Dulcamara, a traveling scam artist, hoping that this love potion will win him the affection of Adina. After several twists and turns in the plot, everybody gets what they deserve!
This co-production with Musikdramatisk Teater from Holstebro was full of romance, comedy, intrigues and sub plots, and above all else, charming and delightful music, so the audience was guaranteed a sublime, hilariously entertaining experience.
